What is Shared Safety: Shared Safety is a coordinated community response to domestic and sexual violence, human trafficking and reproductive coercion in Philadelphia. It offers a citywide blueprint for more effective identification, intervention and prevention of relational violence. Once fully implemented, Shared Safety will ensure that, regardless of where a victim enters the City’s systems, they would be linked to the appropriate resources and receive an immediate, supportive response.
OUR MISSION
We, as government agencies, community based organizations, the health care system, the faith community, the media, the education community and others will work together to identify, respond to, and ultimately prevent domestic, intimate partner and relational violence, and promote healthy communities.
OUR VISION
We envision a safer and healthier Philadelphia, where the City and its provider community will coordinated resources and responses to intimate, domestic and other forms of relational violence across all systems.
